The fates have decided that after having enjoyed such a stupendous weekend that I don't deserve such stellar treatment twice in a row. Tomorrow, my 22nd birthday, will be spent sitting in a little cubicle from about noon to midnight, answering call after call after call. It's my birthday present to myself -- $120 minus taxes. Normally, one of the things that sustain me during the week is the fact that the weekend will always be there to pull me out of my dark, work-laden abyss. I haven't really had that comfort this week, and it sort of sucks. I'm pretty happy though because nothing terrible is happening in my life. I'm not stressed, despite my lack of free time, and I have plenty of roommates who I get along well with. I'm just going to soon have to deal with the fact that they're all going to be abandoning me next semester. Oh well, I'll just play my Xbox 360 and listen to heavy metal at full volume until my ears start to bleed. By the way, Wolfmother is one of the greatest rock groups ever formed.
I need to start writing an 8-12 page research paper now, so I'd better jump to it!

This week, topped off with a great weekend

So, I'm back in the same class where I was when I wrote my last blog post. It seems like the ten minutes I have before this three-times-per-week class is the best time in which to blog, seeing as how I can't do anything productively google-related at home. During my long weekend about a million things happened that made the weekend one of the best of all time. As to not hurt anyone's feelings, I won't call it the best weekend ever, but it was way up there. On Friday I bought myself a B-day present, and have since used most of my free time to play with it. I posted a picture above of the exact board I bought, down to the color and everything. It's just under five feet long. Now, I know I don't strike anyone as a skater, and I don't intend to try -- I'm no poser. But long boarding is much different. No tricks are involved, just plenty of speed, cruising and carving. The whole morning on Monday was spent cruising the winding hills of the university campus and enjoying the break in the rain we've been hammered with over the last week or so. Then I watched all three "Bourne" movies back to back with plenty of junk food and girls to keep me company. Luckily, I wasn't interested in any of the women so I was able to devote 100% of my attention to the movie, which was the most important element of my afternoon, anyway.

Day after day after day
For some random reason everything Google-related has ceased to work on my home computer. The ironic thing is that the only thing that continues to function properly is the actual google.com search engine. Besides that, nothing. It's kind of pain really, because a lot of things have happened recently in my life that deserve detailed explaining. However, I do have a relatively high-paying job that's not only allowing me to continue studying here by providing the necessary funds, but is also filling up my bank account full of surplus dollars that will hopefully be spent on a new Macbook pro or something of the like. Then all of my tech struggles will be over for the rest of my life. Class is starting right now...
